From fledgling business to global enterprise.
Since 1973 Shoof has continued to expand its commercial presence (domestically and internationally), develop new products and invest in infrastructure, personnel and operational capability to support growth.
1970s
1973
First Innovation
through the development of the Shoof Trickler and RevWash (udder washing system).
1975
Initial presence
established at New Zealand’s premier farming show (Fieldays), launching Shoof Trickler and RevWash.
1979
Enter export market
through launch of Quarter Milker and Sight Glass on the international stage.
1980s

Further innovation
through developing the internationally renowned ‘Shoe for a Hoof’ (The ‘Shoof’)
1989
Offshoring
of Shoof manufacturing to Asia, with other products sourced internationally.
1990s
1994
Acquisition
of Lester Veterinary Products Ltd, further developing the Shoof vet supplies catalogue
1995
Further innovation
through developing the Speedy Feeder, a multi speed feeding bottle for calves.
1998
Entered Australia
via establishment of the Shoof Melbourne office, offering farming and animal equipment products.
2000s
2002/03
Acquisition
of competitors in Australia, including Agstar (Victoria) and Hayes Veterinary Services (Queensland).
2004
Investment
in SAP enterprise resource planning system to manage Shoof’s domestic & international business operations.
2008
Further innovation
through the development and launch of the Speedy Drencher and Walkease, both now sold globally.
2010s
2010
Shoof relocation
into purpose-built architecturally-designed head office and warehouse (Cambridge, NZ)
2011/12
Entered Chile
via a wholly-owned subsidiary based in Osorno, Chile
2017
Further innovation
through the development and launch of the Tailwell 2 in Europe and North America
2017
Further innovation
through the development and launch of Tubbease in Germany.
2016/18
Warehouse expansion
adding 4,000 sqm of production and storage space.
2018
Acquisition – Sweetman Mats
and established an on-site sewing production facility for Hoofmats and Disinfection Mats.
2020s

Shoof Direct launched
marking Shoof’s expansion into e-commerce retailing.
2021
Acquisition – Hoofers
including all stock, machinery and intellectual property.
2022
Further innovation
through relaunching Tubbease with new sustainable materials (EVA, NZ Made and Recyclable).

Acquisition – Antahi
Global leaders in colostrum and electrolyte feeding systems for farm animals.
